Lots Happening | New Facebook Page and Ergo Exposure Photos

It’s been a whirlwind of activity for Ergonomists Without Borders since the fall, most of it being behind the scenes. We apologize for not updating the website more frequently. Since the fall we have been working hard to expand our partnerships with other organizations and fundraise in order to push forward with projects in 2011.

We are also excited about welcoming a new member to our Core Team, Pat Scott. Pat Scott has a wealth of experience implementing ergonomic initiatives in developing countries. She will now be the Regional Director for Africa. Watch for more information to follow about her background and experience.

We have also replaced our Facebook group with a Facebook Page. This is to make the organization more accessible and further raise awareness about Ergonomists Without Borders. On the new page we have added new Ergo Exposure photos, making it easy for visitors to review and comment. Please visit the page and comment on some of the photos that have been uploaded.

Association of Canadian Ergonomists

I had the privilege of presenting to attendees of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists annual conference in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada on October 7, 2010. It was an opportunity to raise awareness about ErgonomistsWB including our mission, vision and the services we provide. There was significant interest from attendees including practicing ergonomists, academics and students. Some key questions that were asked were related to our funding structure and fundraising initiatives, the services provided and opportunities for involvement. There were a number of people that were interested in getting involved in some capacity and planned on signing up on the website and contacting members of the Core Team. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm from members of ACE and their support of our initiative. I hope to update everyone further as the relationship between ACE and Ergonomists Without Borders develops.
